Modern infrared heating foil is a type of extremely thin infrared radiator that is designed for use in floor, wall and ceiling heating. It can also be used to heat mirrors, a so-called anti-steam.

The heating film effectively creates electrical resistance on the graphite strands, which is given off in the form of long-wave infrared radiation. As a result, such heating is completely safe for the health of the occupants and does not penetrate into the deeper tissues of the skin.

The use of infrared foil in underfloor heating makes it possible to achieve the much-loved effect of a warm floor.

Operation of Mission Air® infrared heating film

By generating resistance on the graphite strands, the mat leads to the emission of infrared radiation, which is completely safe for the health and life of the occupants.

In the first instance, the heat emitted by the foil is felt directly by those in the room. Thanks to this phenomenon, the pleasant temperature is felt by us extremely quickly. We do not have to wait for the system to heat up the air, which only then warms us up, as is the case with traditional convection heating.

Secondly, the system also has a direct effect on the objects in the room. To the greatest extent, the foil will heat the floor under which it is installed. In this way, the much-loved warm floor effect is achieved, just like with traditional underfloor water heating.

Modern PTC technology

Mission Air® infrared heating foils from the Black Gold series feature PTC technology, which is unique in its class!

PTC functions on the principle that the resistance of the circuit increases with increasing temperature. This then results in a reduction in the current flowing through the heating element. We can therefore safely say that the circuit power decreases as the temperature increases.

Thanks to their self-regulation, PTC heating elements cannot overheat, which makes it a particularly safe and reliable heating technology.

A definite advantage of PTC technology is the noticeably lower electricity consumption compared to a conventional heating system.

Self-contained heating system

The infrared heating film heating system is currently the most efficient and energy-saving heating system available on the market.

The heating foils have an extremely fast thermal response time, especially when compared to traditional underfloor water heating.

A properly designed system using heating foils from the Black Gold series can successfully act as the sole and independent heating system in a room.

Lifetime warranty

Mission Air® infrared heating films from the Black Gold series are characterised by a reinforced structure compared to traditional heating films.

These films are more resistant to mechanical damage and stand the test of time better. Their reinforced structure will be a definite advantage when installed in rooms with heavy traffic.

The Black Gold series will be the ideal choice for: shop spaces, offices, warehouses, circulation paths, children's rooms or the most intensively used living area in your homes and flats.

To maintain the full lifetime warranty protection, the electrical connection must be made by an authorised electrician who will make the appropriate entry in the designated space on the warranty card.

The warranty for the room thermostat is 2 years in each case.

Underfloor, wall or ceiling heating

An infrared heating system using infrared heating foils can be used as: an electric floor heating system, a wall heating system or even a ceiling heating system.

The use of infrared heating foil as underfloor heating allows us to achieve the much-loved warm floor effect as with traditional water-based underfloor heating. Infrared heating film can be installed under a laminate or tiled floor. Either method requires a specialised installation scheme, which is outlined later in this description.

A wall or ceiling system is recommended if we do not have the possibility to use the floor space efficiently due to, for example: a large amount of fixed furniture or the desire to use thick carpeting.
