The heating film effectively creates electrical resistance on the graphite strands, which is given off in the form of long-wave infrared radiation. As a result, such heating is completely safe for the health of the occupants and does not penetrate into the deeper tissues of the skin.

The operation of the infrared heating foil by Mission Air®.

By generating resistance on the graphite strands, the mat leads to the emission of infrared radiation, which is completely safe for the health and life of the occupants.

In the first instance, the heat emitted by the foil is felt directly by the occupants of the room. Thanks to this phenomenon, the pleasant temperature is felt by us extremely quickly. We do not have to wait for the system to heat the air, which only then warms us up, as is the case with traditional convection heating.

Secondly, the system also has a direct effect on the objects in the room. To the greatest extent, the foil will heat the floor under which it is installed. In this way, we get the much-loved warm floor effect as with traditional underfloor water heating.

Modern PTC technology

Mission Air® infrared heating foils from the Black Silver series feature PTC technology, which is unique in its class!

PTC works on the principle that the resistance of the circuit increases as the temperature increases. Consequently, this causes the phenomenon of a reduction in the current flowing through the heating element. Therefore, we can safely say that the power of the circuit decreases as the temperature increases.

Thanks to self-regulation, PTC heating elements cannot overheat, which makes them a particularly safe and reliable heating technology.

A definite advantage of PTC technology is the noticeably lower electricity consumption compared to a conventional heating system.

Independent heating system

The infrared foil heating system is currently the most efficient and energy-saving heating system available on the market.

Heating foils are characterised by an extremely fast thermal response time, especially when compared to traditional water-based underfloor heating.

A suitably designed system using heating foils from the Black Silver series, can successfully act as the only and independent heating in a room.

10-year film warranty

Mission Air® infrared heating foils from the Black Silver series are ideal as the sole or additional heating system in homes, flats or offices.

A prerequisite for full warranty protection is that the electrical connection is made by an authorised electrician who makes an appropriate entry in the designated space on the warranty card.

The warranty for the room thermostat is in any case 2 years.

Underfloor, wall or ceiling heating

The infrared heating foil system can be used as: electric floor heating, wall heating and even ceiling heating.

By using the heating foil as underfloor heating, we can achieve the much-loved warm floor effect as with traditional water-based underfloor heating. Infrared heating film can be installed under laminate or tile flooring. Either method requires a specialised installation scheme, which is outlined later in this description.

A wall or ceiling system is recommended when it is not possible to make efficient use of floor space due to, for example, a large amount of fixed furniture or the desire to use thick carpeting.
